Text description provided by the architects. Situated on the commune of Le Blanc, the project consists in the construction of a sports hall with a wooden framework. The building is erected on flat ground on the east part of the stadium. It will be used by "bowls" players ("la pétanque" is a traditional French game) for training and competitions but also by school children for physical training.
The main facades are laid in douglas fir with a covered joint and the secondary facades with steel (charcoal-grey color). Largely open on the exterior, the game area is enlarged by the complete opening of the side doors. The inside game area is free of poles or main beams in glued laminated timber supporting the roof and which are well visible from the slope. The facilities are gathered in the north part of the building, at the foot of the slope.
The game area receives natural light from the large vertical glass roof of the north wall. Elsewhere, the doors are in glass. These glass elements can be opened to allow natural ventilation. The entrance is highlighted by a colered full box with the inscription "sports hall".
